sims 2 downloadsWhere did my downloads go for the sims 2?

I downloaded certain stuff for the sims 2 of several sites and then i went into my downloads.
It was there so i double-clicked and then i clicked extract all files.
After doing that to everyone (the files are still in the sims downloads) I went into the game and theres nothing there? What do i do?
You have to extract the files to a custom made folder in the sims 2 directory called " downloads " . Try that and see if that helps .
I used to have that same exact problem.

What you shoulsims 2 downloadsd probably do is download the "Sims File Maid 2". It's a completely free download and it moves all of your downloads into the game.

Once you download it, open up your downloads and the File Maid. Drag each of your downloads, one at a time, to the File Maid. When you start the game up, a window should pop up that says What you downloaded and if you would like to enable the content or disable it. Click enable and it will bring you to the normal page. Here you will have to exit that gsims 2 downloadsame and restart. But when you go to put in the furniture you downloaded, it will show up with little Astrix symbol (*) in the bottom.

Hope this helps! I've used the File Maid for months and it hasn't lagged my computer at all! :))

Make a folder named Downloads (capital d), it goes in your documents.
C:\Documents and Settings\your name\My Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2
Your custom content will go in your Downloads folder.
