There could be various reasons ur having trouble installing firefox themes. Assuming you went thru' the steps( tools-> add-ons-> themes(tab) -> get themes -> for the theme you want click on instainstalling firefox themesll now->Restart firefox. Now switch to ur new theme if required by again going to the themes tab and selecting the theme you want to use and click on 'use theme') , this article will help you here:

Once the theme is installed, restart the browser and it should change. When it is installed correctly, the box will say that.
