Your opinion on this song?
I just got done watching Tyler Perry's The Family That Preys and I heard this song in one scene where Charlotte and Alice are in the car and Charlotte hears the song and starts marveling over and tells Alice to listen.
I was just thinking about how DULL I always thought that song was and overrated and then heard the song done by someone else, near the end of the movie, in the scene where Alice rides off in Charlotte's old convertible (GLADYS KNIGHT-You go girl! XD), so maybe it was the version cuz Gladys and her crew made it sound 50% better. I am sorry, but the original is really dull....Anybody agree?
I loved Gladys' version. I like Lee Ann's, too. But Gladys rocked it. I hope they release it one of these days.
I loved them both, I guest it just depends on what version you like, but in this case it's just a beautiful song.
I really loved listen to tyler perry soundtracksGladys Knights version. It had more feeling. But The bottom line what makes the song so great is not Gladys or Lee Ann. It's the lyrics and the message in the song.
Gladys Knight sang this song as if she wrote it. You can feel the emotion in her performance. Other versions are great too, but when Gladys Knight touches it, it becomes hers. This lady can turn any song into a classic. One of God's gift to the earth- Empress of Soul Gladys Knight.
I liked Gladys Knight's version also, it went well with the Tyler Perry movie ending. Faith Hill and Carrie Underwood also did a good job on the same song. Lee Ann's was a bit dull, but the message the song gives is just beautiful no matter who sings it.
Absolutely not.
I lovelovelove LeeAnn Womack's version.
soo much better.
Bulisten to tyler perry soundtrackst then again i like country more than anything else.
So that could be why.
First time I ever heard Gladys sing it, and I hope it's the last.So no, I don't agree.
to tell the truth I like LeeAnn's version better
I TOTALLY DISAGREE WITH THIS STATEMENT; WHILE THE VERSION THAT GLADY'S KNIGHT DID TOUCHED THE DEPTS OF MY SOUL AS SHE DID A STELLAR PERFORMANCE. THERE IS NO DOUBT THAT IT IS INDEED A PERFORMANCE OF EXCELLANCE. I SHALL FOREVER LOVE AND APPREACIATE THE MESSAGE IN SONG DELIVERY THAT LEE ANN WOMACK DELIVERED AT A TIME IN MY LIFE WHEN I NEEDED THAT PUSH TO NOT STAY IDLE ON THE SIDE LINES. SHE INDEED IS A WINNER AND A WOMAN OF GREAT TALENT AND EXPERT MUSICAL ABILITIES. I TIP MY HAT TO BOTH OF THESE LADIES, FOR WITH OUT THE ONE I DON'T THINK THE OTHER WOULD HAVE HAD THE GOLDEN OPORTUNITY TO PERFORM "I HOPE YOU DANCE".
